Agriculture, aquaculture and livestock

Precision farming, fish-farm control and livestock monitoring on LoRaWAN, with an LTE gateway where there is no landline internet and no Wi-Fi.

What we monitor

What the system covers

Crops, aquaculture and livestock on one LoRaWAN stack — soil and water quality, barn climate, herd location and welfare sensors where cable and Wi-Fi are not practical.

SEC_01

Irrigation and soil

Soil moisture, root-zone temperature and electrical conductivity, water pH, ORP and temperature, plus a solar-powered weather station for wind speed, wind direction, temperature and humidity.

SEC_02

Automated irrigation

Watering only when the soil actually needs it, driven by measured moisture rather than a fixed schedule.

SEC_03

Nutrient management

An NPK sensor reads nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium; the platform alerts the grower when levels fall and nutrients need adding.

SEC_04

Safety auto-shutoff

Valves and pumps stop on abnormal flow or a lost connection, and tank-level monitoring protects pumps from dry running.

SEC_05

Aquaculture and water quality

Dissolved oxygen, temperature, pH, salinity, turbidity and ammonia. Aeration starts automatically when dissolved oxygen falls, which is what prevents mass die-offs.

SEC_06

LoRaWAN GPS livestock trackers

Cattle, sheep and other herd animals — outdoor GPS location over LoRaWAN so stock that strays or leaves the paddock shows up as an alert.

SEC_07

Barn & shed air quality (IAQ)

Chicken houses and pig sheds — ammonia (NH3), CO2, VOC and humidity for ventilation control and animal welfare.

SEC_08

Barn temperature & humidity

Stables, poultry houses and farrowing rooms — keep climate inside the band that protects feed conversion and health.

SEC_09

Water trough / drinking-water level

Trough and tank level monitoring so animals are not left without water when a float sticks or a pump fails.

SEC_10

Barn door & gate sensors

Pen gates, shed doors and feed-room access — open/close and unscheduled entry show up as alerts.

SEC_11

Wearable livestock activity / health tags

Collar or ear-tag activity sensing — restlessness, inactivity and unusual movement patterns that flag animals needing a check.
